Tuesday Discussion with Nnenna Okore (Environmental Art)

In our last Tuesday Discussion of the semester, acclaimed US-based artist and professor Nnenna Okore will explore how her socially engaged practice — particularly her work with bioplastics and sustainable materials — cultivates deeper connections with the natural environment. She will reflect on how collaboration, community involvement, and material experimentation have led her to new ways of thinking about ecological responsibility and artmaking. Okore is known for her large-scale sculptures and installations, which address ecological issues related to waste, carbon emissions, and energy use.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public. This is a conversation and exploration with the artist about her art, not an exhibition. This event takes place with the help of Behncke Gallery.
