War alles nur ein Traum? Irgendwo zwischen Schein und Wirklichkeit, zwischen Tag und Nacht hat Peter I. Tschaikowsky sein Meisterwerk angesiedelt. Wie kein zweites Werk verkörpert ‚Der Nussknacker‘ getanzte Fantasie und musikalische Wunderwelt in einem. Hier kann man träumen, lauschen, schauen – und staunen! Vor zauberhafter Kulisse entsteht im Prinzregententheater aus vertrauten und neuen Elementen ein poetisches Märchen, für das Tschaikowskys entzückende Musik die Grundlage bildet: In einer Mischung aus Ballett, Farben, Licht und sogar Artistik wird der Zuschauer in zauberhafte Szenen, in fremde Welten und winterverschneite Landschaften entführt. Mäusekönig und Zuckerfee, Kaffee, Tee und Schokolade – sie alle sind dabei, sind Teil der vertrauten Handlung, die ebenso wie Tschaikowskys pittoreske musikalische Einfälle unverzichtbarer Bestandteil ist.
Die faszinierende Verbindung aus klassischem Ballett und Artistik verleiht dem ‚Nussknacker‘ zauberhafte Momente: Gegenstände wirbeln in müheloser Leichtigkeit über die Bühne; eine Traumgestalt im Spiegelkostüm zaubert aus einem gläsernen Orchester sphärische Klänge zu Tschaikowskys Musik; ein Spaßvogel verleiht den heiteren Szenen eine besondere Note. Umrahmt werden Handlung und Akteure von vertrauten Klängen: Blumenwalzer, Tanz der Rohrflöten, Schneeflocken-Walzer, Chinesischer Tanz … ein liebevoll ausgearbeitetes Gesamtkunstwerk, dessen Details überraschen und zum Träumen einladen. Auch die kleinen Zuschauer sind willkommen – schließlich ist und bleibt ‚Der Nussknacker‘ ein echter Weihnachtsmärchen-Klassiker.
