Mit Beginn der Spielzeit 2023/24 tritt Joseph Bastian das Amt des Chefdirigenten und künstlerischen Leiters der Münchner Symphoniker an und verspricht nach seinem ’sensationellen Einstand‘, den die Abendzeitung ihm 2016 nach seinem Einspringen beim Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks attestierte, jetzt spannende und vielschichtige Konzerterlebnisse am Pult ’seines‘ neuen Münchner Orchesters.
Als Solist des letzten Konzerts der Reihe ‚Philharmonie Extra‘ kommt der 23-jährige Schwede Johan Dalene in die Isarphilharmonie. Der Sohn einer Pianistin und eines Cellisten entdeckte früh die Geige für sich und machte 2019 fulminant von sich reden, als er den Internationalen ‚Carl Nielsen‘-Wettbewerb gewann. Mit seiner Teilnahme hatte der Solist die Zeit der Jugendwettbewerbe endgültig hinter sich gelassen. Das Programm des Konzerts umfasst drei absolute Klassiker des Konzertrepertoires, angefangen mit Mendelssohns zauberhaft-verführerischer Ouvertüre zur Theatermusik zu Shakespeares ‚Sommernachtstraum‘ über das vielleicht populärste Violinkonzert schlechthin, ebenfalls aus Mendelssohns Feder, bis hin zum Inbegriff symphonischer Dramatik: Beethovens ‚Schicksalssymphonie‘.
