HALLELUJAH, DIE NONNEN SIND LOS!
Sister Act – Das himmlische Musical erzählt von der exzentrischen Disco-Diva Deloris, die in einem Kloster untertaucht und den verstaubten Kirchenchor aufmischt. Das Erfolgs-Musical nach der Kult-Komödie mit Whoopi Goldberg steckt voller göttlichem Humor und sympathischer Charaktere. Im Herbst geht die Originalproduktion vom Londoner West End in deutscher Sprache auf Tour und macht auch in München Station.
Die Nachtclubsängerin Deloris van Cartier beobachtet nach einem ihrer Auftritte einen Mord und findet sich plötzlich im Zeugenschutzprogramm wieder. Statt glamourösem Bühnenlicht erwartet sie nun ein konservatives Kloster, in dem als Nonne verkleidet untertaucht – sehr zum Leidwesen der strengen Mutter Oberin.
Im Kirchenchor soll die Sängerin Teil der Gemeinde werden. Doch die Nonnen treffen keinen Ton und so übernimmt Deloris die Leitung. Mit ihr wird jeder Gottesdienst zum Event und die Messen ziehen immer mehr Publikum an. Als die Schwestern schließlich vor dem Papst auftreten, kommen die Gangster Deloris auf die Spur und die Nonnen schweben in großer Gefahr…
Der achtfache Oscar-Preisträger Alan Menken (u.a. Disneys Aladdin und Disneys Die Schöne und das Biest) fegt mit mit-reißenden Show-Nummern den Staub von den Gesangbüchern und reißt das Publikum aus den Sitzen.
Kevin Schroeder und Heiko Wohlgemuth übersetzten die Songtexte von Glenn Slater ins Deutsche. Zu Hits wie ‚Zeig mir den Himmel‘, ‚Singt hinauf zum Himmel‘, ‚Die Welt, die ich nie sah‘ und ‚Lass die Liebe rein‘ tanzen Mary Robert, Mary Lazarus und Deloris auf der Bühne und das Publikum wippt mit. Ein himmlisches Vergnügen!
