Boishakh comes with a new beginning for every Indian, especially Bengalis, with the ushering of the new year, and the month of great luminaries including Tagore.
This April, Sampriti proudly announces it’s annual Bengali New Year celebrations, AAVIRBHAV 2024. With immense joy and pleasure, we invite you to join us for a musical extravaganza- live in concert listening to the ever melodious Lopamudra Mitra, multi-talented music director Joy Sarkar and team.
Lopamudra Mitra, renowned Bengali musician who started the trend of singing ‚Kobitar Gaan‘ – a perfect blend of poetry with music. Her song ‚Benimadhab‘, was a success and later, she lent her voice to songs based on poems. Lopamudra is famous for singing songs for Bangla films, and has won the BFJA Award for the movie Shedin Choitramash (1997). Her albums Bhalobaste Balo and Ei Obelaay have won the Anandbazar Patrika Awards and her album Jhor Hote Pari had won the Zee Music award in 2005.
Joy Sarkar, talented music composer & singer, he started his career in 1998 when he composed the first song of his life that was Chhelebelar Brishti, sung by his wife Lopamudra Mitra and the lyricist was Partha Bhattacharya. Since then he has been composing for albums, films, stage, television and advertising commercials. His movie credits include Bilu Rakkhosh (2017), Pupa (2018) and Sesher Golpo (2019), Uraan (2020) and The Parcel (2020).
